At Lovely Incense, product quality and safety are integral to our commitment to our customers. Our incense products have been independently tested by Intertek India Pvt. Ltd., a globally recognized testing and inspection organization, to evaluate a range of safety, material, and performance characteristics.
The testing covered multiple aspects of the products and their packaging, including total lead content, lead in surface coatings, phthalate content, sharp points and edges, workmanship, resistance to extreme temperature and humidity, flammability, heavy metals in packaging materials, burning performance, ash content, and PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
The Intertek assessment examined the presence of substances that may be subject to safety limits in consumer products. Testing for lead content found results below the applicable limits in the tested components. The black surface coating of the incense holder was also tested for lead, with a measured result of 84 ppm, below the specified limit of 90 ppm.
Phthalate testing was conducted on selected packaging and incense components, including testing for compounds such as DBP, DEHP, BBP, DINP, DIBP, DPP, DnHP and DCHP. The reported results for the tested compounds were below the applicable detection levels and specified limits.
Packaging materials were also examined for heavy metals, including lead, cadmium, mercury and chromium. The combined results for the tested packaging components were reported below the specified limit of 100 ppm.
In addition, PFAS testing was conducted across a broad range of perfluorinated substances. The tested PFAS compounds were reported as ND (Not Detected) within the laboratory’s stated detection limits.
The tested incense products were assessed for physical safety characteristics, with no sharp points or sharp edges observed on the tested Chakra Incense samples. Workmanship and functionality testing was also recorded as Pass, while the effects of extreme temperature and humidity testing were likewise recorded as Pass.
Flammability testing was conducted with reference to ISO 8124-2:2023, with the applicable general requirement recorded as Pass for the tested samples.
The report also records burning-test results for several incense varieties. Depending on the product, recorded burning times ranged from approximately 32 minutes to 1 hour and 18 minutes under the laboratory’s in-house testing method.
These tests provide additional information about the physical performance of the tested incense products and help us maintain consistent product standards.
The testing was conducted by Intertek India Pvt. Ltd. between 30 May and 27 July 2026, with the final report issued on 28 July 2026 under Report No. DELY26000764.
The report states that the results relate only to the items tested and that testing was performed at the request of the applicant. The results therefore provide documented testing information for the specific samples submitted to the laboratory.
